A magnetic drive pump, also known as a mag drive pump, is a type of sealless pump that uses magnetic forces to transfer torque from the motor to the pump impeller, eliminating the need for a mechanical seal. Unlike traditional pumps, where a mechanical seal prevents fluid leakage at the point where the shaft enters the pump casing, a mag drive pump has two separate parts: the drive magnet connected to the motor and the driven magnet attached to the impeller.
