Ampco Applied Products for Sanitary Mixing, Blending, and Process Systems

Illinois Process Equipment provides Ampco Applied Products equipment for sanitary and industrial process applications that require reliable mixing, blending, powder induction, shear processing, product unloading, homogenizing, and controlled ingredient handling.

Ampco Applied Products are built around process performance. AAP equipment supports customers who need to improve batch consistency, reduce processing time, manage difficult powders or viscous products, support sanitary cleanability, and integrate mixing or blending equipment into the larger production system.

IPE helps customers evaluate AAP equipment based on product characteristics, batch size, viscosity, shear requirements, cleanability, flow rate, operator access, controls, and total cost of ownership.

AAP Products IPE Offers

Illinois Process Equipment supports the full Ampco Applied Products line for customers in food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, personal care, chemical, and industrial processing.

AAP products include:

  • POWDER-max powder induction systems
  • DRY-blend wet/dry blending systems
  • SIMPLE-blend powder induction systems
  • SHEAR-blend tabletop powder induction systems
  • SHEAR-max inline high shear mixers
  • SBH and SBI shear blenders
  • JET-shear in-tank mixers
  • JET-mix in-tank mixers
  • JET-max in-tank mixers
  • ROLEC DH hop and ingredient induction systems
  • ADU drum unloading systems
  • ATU tote and bin unloading systems
  • HST homogenizers
  • Related hoppers, carts, tables, controls, VFDs, and custom process configurations

This broad product range allows IPE to support customers who need more than a pump, mixer, or blender as a standalone component. Many AAP applications require the right combination of pumping, powder handling, mixing, controls, operator access, and cleanability to achieve the desired process result.

Powder Induction and Wet/Dry Blending Systems

Powder induction can be one of the most difficult steps in sanitary and industrial processing. Poorly controlled powder addition can cause lumping, fisheyes, foaming, inconsistent hydration, longer batch times, and ingredient waste.

Ampco Applied Products systems, such as POWDER-max, DRY-blend, SIMPLE-blend, and SHEAR-blend, are designed to help customers introduce powders into liquids more efficiently and consistently. These systems support applications in which operators need controlled ingredient induction, repeatable blending, and improved finished-product quality.

IPE helps customers determine whether an application requires minimal, moderate, or high shear; portable blending; tabletop induction; or a larger custom system, based on the powder, liquid base, viscosity, batch size, and production goals.

Inline Shear Blenders and High Shear Mixing

Some products require more than basic blending. Applications involving emulsification, dispersion, deagglomeration, hydration, particle size reduction, or homogenization may require inline shear blending or high-shear mixing.

Ampco Applied Products SBH and SBI blenders support moderate- to high-shear applications across food, pharmaceutical, personal care, industrial, and chemical processing. SHEAR-max inline high shear mixers are designed for applications that require more intensive mixing performance in single-pass or batch-style processing.

IPE evaluates shear requirements, product sensitivity, flow rate, temperature, viscosity, and downstream process needs to help customers select the appropriate AAP blender or high-shear mixer.

In-Tank Mixers, Homogenizers, and Product Unloading Systems

Ampco Applied Products also supports in-tank mixing, homogenizing, and high-viscosity product transfer. JET-shear, JET-mix, and JET-max systems are used for hydrating, dissolving, dispersing, suspending solids, emulsifying, and mixing products in open or closed tanks.

For applications that require homogenization, HST homogenizers ensure process consistency in sanitary production environments. For viscous products, ADU drum unloaders and ATU tote or bin unloaders help improve sanitary product transfer, reduce waste, and support more controlled dosing or batch handling.

These systems are especially valuable when product recovery, operator ergonomics, cleanability, and batch consistency directly impact operating costs and production efficiency.

Applications for Ampco Applied Products

Ampco Applied Products equipment supports a wide range of sanitary and industrial process applications. IPE works with customers to match the system to the material, process objective, and operating environment.

Common applications include:

  • Beverage processing
  • Dairy processing
  • Food production
  • Brewery and cellar applications
  • Personal care products
  • Pharmaceutical processing
  • Clean chemical processing
  • Thickener hydration
  • Ingredient and additive blending
  • Powder induction into liquid bases
  • High-viscosity product unloading
  • Emulsification, dispersion, and homogenization
  • Coatings, fertilizers, paints, herbicides, inks, and dye compounds

The right AAP system can help reduce processing time, improve product consistency, simplify cleaning, and support more efficient production.

Why Work with IPE for Ampco Applied Products?

Ampco Applied Products systems often interact with pumps, tanks, piping, controls, valves, instrumentation, and sanitation requirements. That means equipment selection should be based on the full process, not only the mixer, blender, or unloader.

Illinois Process Equipment helps customers evaluate AAP equipment as part of a complete process system. Our team supports equipment selection, pump and control integration, system troubleshooting, repair, coordination, field service, and lifecycle optimization for sanitary and industrial applications.
